A piece built from the need to protect and to sustain. The compact volume of iron acts as a closed body, as boundary and as shelter. In Fortaleza, matter does not open: it contains itself. As in Querido miedo, that boundary is not only restriction but also structure. A space that at times protects and at others prevents us from moving forward. The surface, marked by the process, shows that this solidity is not absolute. It has been crossed, transformed, lived. From that dense base light emerges, generating a tension between what shelters and what needs to expand. The piece does not speak of eliminating the boundary, but of acknowledging it: inhabiting it, understanding it and deciding, finally, how far it defines us.
