Silence goes beyond the absence of sound; it can awaken responses, reveal fears or bring about introspection. Sometimes it is found even in the middle of the noise, when our thoughts take hold of us and only they can be heard. Without silence, art —whether sculpture, painting or literature— would lose its capacity to order and clarify our thoughts. “Silencio Ausente” explores silence in all its dimensions: as calm, anguish, curiosity or confirmation. The work arises from the artist’s intimate vision, from her deepest self, using malleable materials that allow contemporary, approachable forms, making contemporary art a means of reflection and social communication. This work invites viewers to experience silence in a personal way, to interpret and feel every sensation it evokes. Silence here also stands for what does not dare to shout; the piece seeks to express with force the creativity that arises from combining modernity and tradition, showing how art can be a vehicle of universal communication.
